- This is interesting...i live near one of maybe two amiga oriented
- shops in all of indiana and got the same kind of story. They said that
- developers didn't develop for 3.1 because there were several bogus
- versions floating around and it was too hard to support since they
- couldn't tell which version of 3.1 any one user would have. They also
- said that they would not give me any kind of technical support under
- wb3.1, of course that changed after they recieved a A4000 tower with
- wb3.1 on it. They seem to think that AT had 'fixed' 3.1. They say it
- is now safe to buy wb3.1 as long as you buy the ROMS and disks at the
- same time to gaurantee that you are getting an official version and
- not something else someone messed with. I of course got tired of
- waiting and upgraded about a week before they got their A4000 tower.
- It looks official enough....i even have the new logo on my disks.
- I hope that helps someone...does anyone know where this rumor got
- started? And why it is the amiga dealers made such point of NOT
- supporting wb3.1. I ended up running wb1.3 far longer than anyone
- should ever be forced to.
